Q: How will the donation be used?

Q: Are there any limits on donations?

Any amount and number of units are accepted.

Q: What kind of gifts are provided?

The Gene Therapy Research Institution is considering gifts for donors, including our e-newsletters and priority participation in meetings. Details will be updated on this website.

Q: Are donations tax deductible?

No. Your donation is not tax deductible due to the fact that the Gene Therapy Research Institution is a corporation not a specified charitable corporation. It is not applicable to “specified cash contribution” by the Income Tax Act. Thank you very much for your understanding.

Q: Do donors have priority participation in clinical trials?

A

No. Participation in clinical trials is determined fairly, based on medical criteria. The Gene Therapy Research Institution is not able to provide priority participation in clinical trials due to donations. Thank you very much for your understanding.

Q: Who pays the processing fee?

A

The processing fee for credit card settlement and bank transfer should be paid by the donor.

Q: Can I make a foreign currency payment?

A

No. As of, we only accept Japanese yen. However, we are considering accepting foreign currency in the future. Information will be posted on this website.

Q: Do you accept other forms of payment besides credit card or bank transfer?

A

No. We only accept payment by credit card and bank transfer.
